Because I’ll be watching “Wicked” again when it comes to Singapore, I’ve been brushing up on my knowledge of the songs in the musical.
Been trying to get myself acquainted with as many songs as I can the past few weeks.
And I’ve realised what a great songwriter Stephen Schwartz is.
I mean, you’ve gotta be something if you had 3 hit musicals on Broadway at the age of just 26.
I’ve been discovering some more really lovely songs from the musical.
I remember when I watched it in London in 2009, I came out of the theatre not being able to remember a single song.
I guess Stephen Schwartz songs take awhile to grow on you.
The more I listen to the “Wicked” album, the more good songs I discover.
As it stands, I love the following: “Popular”, “I’m Not That Girl”, “For Good”, “Defying Gravity”, “One Short Day”.
