Lately there has been a bit of debate over looks, especially of that of female candidates in the upcoming elections.
There seems to be a slew of young, attractive female candidates joining the political fray, such as Tin Pei Ling, Nicole Seah, Angela Oon, and so on…prompting the inevitable articles in the media such as this one entitled “Do Looks Matter In Elections?” (here).
I think the answer is simple, isn’t it?
Looks matters everywhere, not just in elections.
Like it or not, people are judged by their looks in almost every aspect of life.
That’s just the way it is.
Hmm…somehow, I think prettier candidates will need to work harder for their credibility. This seems the general sentiments.
