I think this is the closest we’ll ever get to a winter season in Singapore. Enjoy it while it lasts. I’m certainly enjoying the cool nights every night. Makes you never want to get out of bed in the morning.

The Slow Death Of Singapore Music
Monday, 31 January, 2011
I’m not sure if anyone caught the sad irony in page 8 of today’s Life! section. On top was a larger-than-half-page account of last Saturday’s St. Jerome Laneway Festival held at Fort Canning Park, whereby 6,000 music fans braved the rain and the muddy grounds (*cringe*) to catch the many international bands perform. Unfortunately, there [...]
Chinese New Year
Tuesday, 25 January, 2011
The only unbearable thing about Chinese New Year is the music that you hear everywhere – in the malls, the shops, the restaurants, etc. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate CNY music…but there is only so much “dong-dong-chiang” music a pair of human ears can take. Other than that, Chinese New Year is just [...]
Songwriting Stuff
Tuesday, 25 January, 2011
Haven’t been talking about songwriting for quite awhile. Here are some random thoughts… … The Special One Ever met a special someone whom you felt was probably going to be the most beautiful person you’d ever meet in your life? As in, for the rest of your life, you can’t imagine how you’d ever meet [...]
“WikiLeaks” Moment At Aussie Open

You could easily make a [...]
M2M

What is it about Scandinavian bands and their ability to come up with the most incredibly catchy songs known to man? There must be something about the air in Scandinavia or something. There’s ABBA, Roxette, Ace of Base, Michael Learns to Rock, The Cardigans, Aqua, and of course, my favourite of them all… M2M. (Well, [...]
Steve’s Apple

A random thought just hit me today – it’s a good thing Steve Jobs wasn’t given the first name “Adam”. We would never hear the end of those puns.
Birthdays
Friday, 14 January, 2011
I guess birthdays were created to make you feel good about yourself, to make yourself feel validated, to remind you that there are friends out there who love you. It’s the one special day in the year when you carry a notional “get out of jail free” card, whereby at any point in a conversation [...]
Read More Books
Saturday, 8 January, 2011
I’ve never been much of a reader of novels. I average between 0 to 1 novels a year, to be honest. (I think the exact number lies closer to 0 than it does to 1.) Non-fiction stuff I read a lot of, but novels…hardly. But this year I think I want to start reading more. [...]
