With some many new condo projects springing up all over Singapore every other day, I’ve always wondered why they never named a project as “Kovan Gardens” before.
(Pardon me if there already is one, but as far as I know, I’ve not heard of a “Kovan Gardens” before.)
I know there is a “Kovan Melody” and a “Kovan Residences”, but I’m not aware of a “Kovan Gardens”.
By the way, there always seems to be a condo named “xxx Residences” in every area in Singapore.
It’s as if there’s a repository of stock names that developers refer to that will inevitably be attached to condos, e.g. Residences, Vista, Lodge, Gardens, Heights, Villa, etc.
You get the idea.
There doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of imagination attached to naming condo projects.
But seriously folks…if you’re going to go the whole nine yards with this, why not just name a new project “Kovan Gardens”?
Imagine the kind of cool conversations you’d have.
You: “I own an apartment at Kovan Gardens.”
Friend: “Wow, Covent Gardens??”
You: “Yeah, Kovan Gardens.”
Friend: “Cool!”
You: “And I shop at Knightsbridge too.”
Friend: “West End?”
You: “No, Orchard.”
