I’m no food expert, but I always enjoy a good pizza.
It’s always been one of my favourite edible things, to be honest.
But the biggest problem with pizzas is that they cool way too quickly, and we all know that there is nothing more yuck-yuck than cold pizza.
In fact, of all the foods that I know of, pizzas are the one food item that suffer from the greatest dropoff in enjoyability between the first bite and the last.
Let me explain…
A typical pizza comes in, what, 6 to 8 slices right?
If the first slice is 100% enjoyment, then the second slice is usually about 70% (based on the standard cooling rate), and by the time you get to the third slice, it’s usually down to 35%, depending on how fast you can eat.
And usually from the fourth slice onwards, the utility you get per slice is less than 20% the utility you got from the first slice.
And by the time you reach the last few cold hard slices, you’re basically just trying to get it over and done with.
It’s sad, but that’s just the way pizzas are.
I’ve eaten enough of them in my lifetime to know.
I can’t think of any other foods that suffer from the same drastic rate of diminishing returns that pizzas do.
I’m just saying.
you should invest in a pizza warmer… or maybe invent it if there isn’t such a thing (you know, like those teapots with a tealight candle below it)…
Hahaha! Good idea, that!
