About The Polo Boys And Their Trunks…

Just to weigh in on the hot topic of the moment.

I think we’re making a mountain out of a molehill, folks.

I thought the design actually looked quite nice, and I am sure that there was no disrespectful intent involved whatsoever.

I mean, how many ways can you place a crescent and five stars on the front of a swimming trunk?

There is only so much area to work with, y’know.

Maybe we should all be more concerned with how come we, being the undefeated water polo champions in South East Asia since 1965, could get trashed 25-3 in the quarter-finals of an Asian Games.

To me, that is the more pressing issue.

  1. I find design looked quite nice too.

If no one pointed it out, I wouldn’t have gotten any idea on the “disrespect” part.

And ya, how come they were trashed so badly? Always thought water polo was Singapore’s forte?

    • Well, they got trashed by Japan, who is supposedly very very strong.

But to get dumped out in the quarters like that only goes to show the huge gulf in standard that exists between the SEA and Asian level for water polo.

      • Yup, agree.
