I don’t watch much TV, to be honest.
The only thing I watch faithfully is Formula 1 and whatever many NBA playoff games they choose to show every year from April to June.
Occasionally I may tune in to the odd big Premier League match, but not often.
The reason why I don’t watch that much TV is also because there aren’t enough TVs at home to go around, which means I’m usually the odd one out who is left TV-less.
Anyway, sometimes on weekend nights when nobody else is on the TV I like to just laze in front of the TV and latch on to whatever I happen to fancy whilst rigorously channel-surfing.
You usually get quite a few good programmes on weekend nights, such as Anthony Bourdain (occasionally good), Gordon Ramsay (highly intriguing), Discovery Channel documentaries (potentially riveting), “Spain…On The Road Again” (mildly interesting), and the Jay Leno show (occasionally interesting, depending on the guests).
But one programme that never fails to capture my attention is (don’t laugh) “Denise Richards: It’s Complicated”, on Channel 80 Sunday nights.
I’ve seen quite a number of episodes of this reality show by now, and I really like it.
It certainly trumps all the other reality shows I’ve watched, including “The Kardashians” (too much bitchiness) and “Kimora” (unwatchable).
And a long time ago they used to show “The Osbournes” as well, but I just didn’t like the messiness of the whole show.
Now “It’s Complicated” is something else altogether.
It’s a reality show on the life of Denise Richards, but I find it strangely very watchable.
There aren’t really that many main characters in it, unlike the Kardashians or the Osbournes, but Denise Richards herself seems to be able to carry the show all on her own.
Basically the show depicts her going about living her celebrity lifestyle, but the over-riding theme is her search for a new man in her life.
Bear in mind that this is the same Denise Richards who famously starred in “Wild Things” and one of the James Bond flicks, but truth be told, her real person is totally different from what we perceived her to be on screen.
On “It’s Complicated” she comes across as being very genuine, affable and down-to-earth.
And her relationship with her father is quite endearing too.
All in all, it’s a very feel-good show to watch.
hey, haven’t seen you blogging about F1.
Well, I wasn’t too happy with how things went in the last race (Shanghai), so didn’t really wanna talk about it, ha!
