The Difference Between Men And Women

A man and a woman are about to get married to each other.

The man asks his soon-to-be wife, “What kind of wedding would you like?”

“Well,” she says, “our church ceremony should preferably start at 1115am, so that by the time we finish it would be just in time for lunch (I prefer morning ceremonies). And the colour theme for the entire wedding will be pink, and that means everything right down to the programme booklets, the invite cards, the deco, the flowers, the powerpoint slides, etc. will be pink, and I will be in this nice long gown which I’ve been dreaming about for the longest time, and my sisters will all be in pink dresses (and your brothers will all have to wear pink ties too). I will walk down the aisle to Bach’s “Air on a G String” (cos Pachelbel’s “Canon” is just too cliche), and I would like a little string ensemble cos that makes it so quaint and intimate. A flower girl and page boy are a must. (I know who my bridesmaid is going to be already.) For the dinner, the ballroom should be able to accommodate at least 35 tables (we need that), and there should not be any pillars in the ballroom (I can’t stand pillars). I will need 3 outfits for the entire evening (cos 4 is too many and 2 is too few).”

“I see”, the guy says.

Then the woman asks the guy what kind of wedding he would like.

The man thinks for awhile and says, “The kind that makes you my wife.”

And that is the difference between men and women.

We tend to see the big picture. =)

  1. Hrm…

  2. Wah! Sounds familiar!

  3. LF: I can’t tell what your reaction is exactly by the word “hrm”, haha!

Kat: Yup! It definitely does! Inspired by real life events! =)
(By the way, I’m surprised you’re still surfing the net these few days, haha!)

  4. Seriously, what else can I do? Last minute shopping? S-(

  5. Haha..well, I would say there’s some truth to it as I think most girls would have some childhood “dream wedding” they have in mind….must be all those fairytales and Disney.

However, I think that’s how husbands & wives complement each other right? Women help to fulfill to the big picture by building foundational details into the marriage, or else, if you only have the big picture, how do your reach it?

Well, thank God for the difference! :)

  6. Kat: That’s true!

LF: Agreed, thank God for making men & women different, because if it were all men only, then who would take care of the little details right? I reckon if there were no women, then weddings would be totally dull, boring and un-beautiful. It’s good that men manage the “marcro” and women manage the “micro”.

And yes, Disney has been the biggest culprit in planting the seeds of the “princess” and “dream wedding” concepts in the minds of little girls all over the world!

  7. “I reckon if there were no women, then weddings would be totally dull, boring and un-beautiful. It’s good that men manage the “marcro” and women manage the “micro”.”

Oh wait, what am I saying?!?

Let me rephrase that: “If both men and women are “macro”, then weddings would be totally dull, boring and un-beautiful. It’s the attention to details that makes weddings so beautiful.”

  8. Oh wait, what am I saying?!?

Haha…yah, wait people get wrong idea in the wrong direction.
