Two Songs

Here are my two songs which I presented at the Songcraft concert last Saturday.

Many thanks to Betty for helping me sing them.

She was fantastic as always, and I’m deeply appreciative.

And many thanks to Jerron for painstakingly editing and slicing up all the individual clips.

Personally, I was not too pleased with some of the minor slips I made on the keyboard for both songs.

But I guess that’s the way we pianists are…cos I know of another pianist friend who also tends to dwell on the slips even though she plays really well.

Fly
Written by Jeremy Yew

Fly, up to a place where we must go
Unto a mountain floating high
Upon the hills we climb
Fly, to where the clouds may take us

Fly, up to a place where we must be
Over a river flowing to the sea
Together we will fly
To where the clouds take you and I

On a hillside,
In a castle by the trees
By a river,
On a meadow in the breeze
Misty morning,
In the golden rays of light
Stars and moonglow,
Ride the winds and we’ll take flight

Fly, up to a place where we must go
Unto a mountain floating high
Upon the hills we climb
Fly, to where the clouds may take us

Fly, there’s no one else but you and I
Way up above we’ve never been so high
Together we will fly
To where the clouds take you and I
Together we will fly
To where the clouds take you and I

Spread The Joy Of Christmas
Written by Jeremy Yew

Our God has given a Saviour
And they called his name Immanuel
It means God is with us
It means God is with all men

He was born in a manger
In a little town called Bethlehem
Wise men travelled to meet Him
Bearing precious gifts in their hands

On silent night the angels told of his birth
On silent night the angels told of his birth

So spread the joy of Christmas
For the Lord Jesus Christ has come to earth
To bring us hope, joy, love and peace to the world
Spread the joy of Christmas
Let us come celebrate the Saviour’s birth
To bring us hope, joy, love and peace to the world!
