So one of the great players of the last 14 years has decided to call it quits.
Whether he really means it or not, we dunno.
But I’ll always remember Allen Iverson for one thing – his incredible performance against the mighty Lakers in Game One of the ’01 Finals.
That will always be one of the greatest performances in NBA history, as far as I’m concerned.
Granted, that was the only game they won in that Finals series…but you gotta hand it to a 6-foot guy who can single-handedly carry his team to the Finals, and stun the heavily favoured Lakers on their home court.
A.I. was one of the most electrifying players to watch.
He brought it every night, and played at 100% every single minute he was on the floor.
