woot! was originally w00t!

it came from the gaming culture, typically D&D games.. it was a short form of “Wow, Loot!”.. expressing excitement.

Yup I gather “woot!” is something like “yeah!”. It’s like you’re really excited about something.

“Rofl” is supposed to be short for “Rolling On Floor Laughing”. It’s like “Lol” but I guess it’s even more emphatic, ha!
