I’m not sure if you noticed, but quite a lot of people like to type the term “woot!”.
As in “I’m looking forward to tonight. Woot!“
Or “Woot! It’s a good day today!”
Now I’m not sure about you, but I’m a bit curious as to how this term “woot!” came about.
And honestly…has anybody ever heard a “woot!” being said in real life before?
How is it even supposed to sound like?
I’ve actually heard people attempt to say “lol” and “rofl” and “tisk tisk” in real life…but never “woot!” before.
I’m just sayin’.
I’ve never used “woot”…it is similar ot “yeah”?
What’s “rofl”?
Yup I gather “woot!” is something like “yeah!”. It’s like you’re really excited about something.
“Rofl” is supposed to be short for “Rolling On Floor Laughing”. It’s like “Lol” but I guess it’s even more emphatic, ha!
woot! was originally w00t!
it came from the gaming culture, typically D&D games.. it was a short form of “Wow, Loot!”.. expressing excitement.
hmm.. it didn’t show the 2 zeroes properly.. it’s supposed to be.. w-zero-zero-t-!
Ah…I see the light. Thanks!!!
