Colts-Patriots

Let’s talk a bit about the biggest play in the biggest NFL game over the last weekend.

It was a 4th and 2 situation, 2:08 remaining in the game, and Patriots leading by 6 points with the ball at their own 28 yard line.

Conventional wisdom says you punt it as far as you can, but the Patriots went for the 4th down pass, and came up inches short.

And true enough, the Colts managed to score a touchdown once they regained possession to win the game.

And now coach Bill Belichick is getting tons of flak for his gamble to go for the 4th down.

Now this was definitely a very gutsy call by Belichick, something not many coaches in the league would ever dare attempt.

It’s one of those things where if you pull it off you’re a genius, but if you don’t then you’re a fool.

It’s one of those things.

Looking at the big picture, let’s just say that this is still a regular season game after all.

It’s not the playoffs, so a loss is just a loss.

But I think we cannot ignore the fact that Patriots came very close to beating the undefeated Colts at their own stadium.

That is something that we should take away from this.

Lastly, I can’t help but notice how it seems to be a reversal of fortunes now: The Patriots used to be the team that just kept on winning, and the Colts used to always come up on the losing end.

Now it’s the other way round – the Colts just somehow manage to find a way to win, and the Patriots are the ones making the game-losing decisions.

I’m just not that used to seeing Brady on the losing end.
