I don’t often talk baseball, but I’m really glad to see the Yankees doing so well this season.
I think this could be their year.
They’ve got the best overall record in baseball, and they’re playing some really solid ball.
I used to watch them win World Series titles but that seemed like ages ago (their last title was in 2000).
I think the only players still in the team since then are Jeter, Posada and Rivera.
I think the key piece this year was Mark Teixeira. He’s the missing piece that a team needs to win the big one.
Somehow the team chemistry just seems right this year, unlike in other years where they had megastars, but yet struggled to deliver.
They’re firing on all cylinders right now…Jeter is delivering, Teixeira and A-Rod are providing the big hits, CC Sabathia is pitching well, Rivera is still the best closer in the league.
