Schumi’s Coming Back!!!
Thursday, 30 July, 2009

Sorry but I need to let it all out: Schumacher’s coming back for Ferrari!!!!!!!! I almost cried when I read the news this morning. Definitely one of the most exciting sports comebacks as far as I can remember. (Can you just imagine the atmosphere at Monza in a few races’ time.)

A Great Whitney Song
Wednesday, 29 July, 2009

This might not be a very well-known Whitney Houston song, but it’s actually one of my favourites. This song is called “Miracle”, and you won’t even find it in her Greatest Hits album. But it’s a very beautiful song.

It’s Official…World Swimming Is Now A Joke
Wednesday, 29 July, 2009

I guess it took no more than 3 days of World Championship action from Rome to conclude that world swimming is now turning into a fiasco…somewhat in the vein of Formula 1 (politics), cycling (doping) and baseball (steroids) in recent years. While it is always fascinating for the general public to hear about 4 or [...]

The Emotional Connection
Tuesday, 28 July, 2009

I can’t speak for all songwriters, but when I’m trying to write songs the most important thing to me is that the songs should establish an “emotional connection” with the listener. And the earlier in the song that the emotional connection can be established, the better. The method doesn’t really matter – you could be [...]

Skeptical
Tuesday, 28 July, 2009

I would be lying if I said I wasn’t skeptical about some of the WR swims I’ve seen thus far at the World Champs in Rome.

Le Tour
Monday, 27 July, 2009

Ok, I’ll admit – I only watched this year’s Tour de France because Lance Armstrong was back in it. This is the first time I’ve ever followed the Tour de France so closely, and I actually learnt quite a lot about this fascinating event over the last three weeks. Y’know, I’ve watched Superbowls, NBA Finals, [...]

Madness
Monday, 27 July, 2009

We’ve only just begun the first day of the FINA World Champs in Rome and already we’ve had a number of WRs broken. Look out for many more incredible times to be set in the next few days. It’s gonna be absolutely crazy I tell ya.

“How Do You Talk To An Angel” By The Heights
Friday, 24 July, 2009

This is one of my favourite songs – “How Do You Talk To An Angel” by The Heights. It definitely belongs in my hall of fame of all-time favourite songs. But you know what the interesting thing is? Apparently this wasn’t even a real band. This hit song came from a very short-lived TV series [...]

Kirk Cameron
Wednesday, 22 July, 2009

This is going to sound totally random, but it just occured to me today that Kirk Cameron might have been the poor man’s Michael J Fox. Those of you who are a bit too young will not understand what I am talking about. P.S. I was so thrilled to find out on Google that there [...]
