Uh-oh…this season is starting to look like 2004.
Basically, Button in 2009 = Schumacher in 2004.
At the rate things are going, I’m not surprised if Button ends up winning at least 10 of the 17 races this season (Schumi won 13 of the 18 races in ’04).
Who knows, he might even wrap up the title before we even get to Singapore.
One thing I’m greatly encouraged by is the fact that Ferrari has suddenly found itself at the sharp end of the grid once again.
It was heartening to see the two Ferraris end up 3rd and 4th yesterday…which, considering the form of the Brawns, is more than any Ferrari fan could ask for.
Massa was highly unlucky in many instances yesterday, but was fortunate enough to still end up 4th.
Ferrari’s back baby!
Let’s hope they tear up the field in Turkey (a grand prix which Massa has won for the last 3 years, by the way).
