Because today is a PH, I had the opportunity to catch Game 6 of Celtics-Bulls this morning, and I dare say that this is the greatest playoff series I’ve ever witnessed.
(Not that I’ve watched that many playoff series…but still.)
Regardless of how things turn out in Game 7, it’s a classic already.
Truly riveting.
Game 6 today was just phenomenal. Two teams that just refuse to lose.
Just when you think one team is dying, it does something amazing to come back to life.
You just can’t write off either team at any point in time.
It’s kinda like the Federer-Nadal final at Wimbledon last year. That’s the closest comparison I can think of.
I can’t remember many other playoff series I’ve watched that comes close to the level of competition and intensity of this Celtics-Bulls series.
The best I can think of are Lakers-Kings 2002, Lakers-Spurs 2004, Spurs-Suns 2007, Mavs-Warriors 2007, Cavs-Celtics 2008.
This Celtics-Bulls series is definitely up there with the best of them.
However, one point to note is that I am doubtful that either of these teams would eventually even make it to the NBA Finals this year.
Nonetheless, the basketball thus far has been breathtaking.
This series has had everything.
P.S. The Joakim Noah steal and dunk was THE biggest play I’ve seen in quite awhile. I’m now a Bulls fan=)
I have a new post on my blog. Please comment here or on the blog http://jojoj921.wordpress.com/
I agree.
