Well, as I mentioned, 2009 has been kinda like a whirlwind for me.
So many things going on I hardly have time to breathe. (Plus the fact that I kinda went a bit looney recently and bought tickets to at least 9 different plays/shows/musicals/concerts/etc coming up in the next two months.)
I had half a mind to scale back on some of my major commitments, but sometimes its really hard to let go. I just have to keep working at it.
What I really wish for is to find some personal time to do stuff, y’know…like write songs.
I haven’t written any songs yet this year (apart from some songs for church). Haven’t had anything to show for at Songcraft yet.
But at least there’s been a new song brewing in my head the last few days, so I’m quite excited about it.
Really miss the joys of creating a new song once again.
And also, the Songcraft 2nd year anniversary is coming up in April, and I have been guilty of not spending enough time planning for the anniversary.
But thankfully, preparations have been going well. It’s gonna be a good one this year.
(Yes! Songcraft is actually almost 2 years old! Who would’ve thought?!?)
I wouldn’t have swapped the last 2 years of Songcraft for anything in the world. It has forged some of the fondest memories in my life, and I’m sure it has been the same for a number of people too.
Not to mention the friends I’ve made through Songcraft, who are now some of my closest friends.
* The title to a song by INXS which I’m not sure how I know, but I somehow know it. It’s a nice song. Go check it up some time…when you have enough time.
