A Music-Lover’s Dream Come True
Saturday, 31 May, 2008

Songcraft is turning into everything I had hoped for it to be.
I was very pleased with tonight’s Songcraft session. You could say that it is every music-lover’s dream.
It’s exactly the way I had envisioned Songcraft to be like:
Passionate musicians/songwriters coming together to share their songs with one another.
Engaging discussions [...]

Down
Friday, 30 May, 2008

Shucks, Spurs lost.
You won’t believe how down I am.
I guess one could be philosophical and say that they were well worn out by the Suns, and especially the Hornets series. Or you could say that this is an even year…and the Spurs don’t win on even years.
But you gotta give the Lakers their due credit. [...]

Song “Hall Of Fame”
Wednesday, 28 May, 2008

I believe you can always tell what kind of person someone is by the songs he/she likes, cos music doesn’t lie.
Anyways…
Since one week ago I’ve added an extra page at the top of my blog called “Song Hall of Fame”, which is a list of my favourite songs of all time.
These are no ordinary songs. [...]

Do Something
Wednesday, 28 May, 2008

Yesterday was one of those nights when I suddenly felt that I needed to seriously do something about one particular aspect of my life. Something that means a lot to me.
So I made a very conscious decision to seriously do something about it. And I’m willing to put in whatever it takes.
And oh, whatever you’re [...]

KG And Jump Shots
Tuesday, 27 May, 2008

Someone should start taking down statistics of how many percent of Kevin Garnett’s shots are jump shots.
Cos I happened to watch one (just one) game of the Celtics-Pistons series and I was amazed at how many times KG actually goes for the jump shot.
It’s incredible how someone as tall, quick, and athletic as KG can [...]

Sometimes You Wish You Were Living In America…

What’s wrong with StarHub Cable TV?!?!
What’s the logic of showing every single Eastern Conference Final game and not a single Lakers-Spurs game?!?!?
This is logic I totally cannot understand!
Doesn’t anyone over at StarHub realise that the Lakers-Spurs series is the real NBA Finals?!?
This is just unbelievable. You really gotta question the programming sometimes.
Sorry, I’m just getting [...]

Kimi Raikkonen ≠ Michael Schumacher
Monday, 26 May, 2008

I think if there were any debate whatsoever as to whether Kimi Raikkonen were on the level of Michael Schumacher when Michael was in Ferrari, this season’s performances have shown that the Finn cannot possibly be considered to be as great a driver as Schumacher was.
Granted, I gave Kimi a free pass last season, even [...]

Songcraft This Friday
Sunday, 25 May, 2008

Because Songcraft is this Friday, I locked myself up in my room a few nights ago and tried to finish up some songs on my guitar.
I was pleased to have managed to firm up about two songs, one of which I shall present this Friday.
I haven’t really decided which one yet.

Bad Sports Weekend (For Me)
Sunday, 25 May, 2008

Pardon the himbotic rant, but sports happens to be one of my indulgences, and this was just a disappointing sports weekend for me.
Firstly, the Spurs failed to steal a game in LA so they’re down 2-0. The thing that irks me the most is that they could have well stolen Game 1 but they just [...]

Miss Singapore Universe Is “Too Old”?!? Give me a break!
Friday, 23 May, 2008

This is appalling.
The headline on page 2 of today’s Life! section asks “Is She Too Old?” Full article (here).
To quote the first few lines from the article:
“Is this year’s Miss Singapore Universe pageant jinxed? First, the live broadcast was axed. Now, it has produced Singapore’s oldest winner in 10 years

IN A contest usually [...]
