If you’re on YouTube a lot, you might realise that some types of comments appear more frequently than others.
I figured it’s time to compile a Top Ten list…
1. “First!!!”
2. “Fake fake fake!”
3. “OMG, I love this song!”
4. “Haha…owned!” (or “Haha…pwned!”)
5. “That was a travel.” (Applies to NBA videos…if you watch lots of NBA clips, you’ll [...]

The Great Spy Experiment @ Esplanade Recital Studio
Monday, 28 April, 2008
So I caught The Great Spy Experiment at the Esplanade Recital Studio last Friday night.
Bought the ticket on a whim, actually…on that evening itself, less than three hours before the gig. It was probably the last ticket available.
I’ve always wanted to check out The Great Spy Experiment, cos I’ve heard a lot about them. They’re [...]
Art And Music
Monday, 28 April, 2008
To me, art is all about expression.
Art exists because human beings will always need to find a way to express their feelings and emotions.
It could be through writing, dance, painting, photography, scuplture, theatre, design, etc.
For me, I find music, and particularly songwriting to be an excellent way to express my innermost feelings.
I find that writing a song allows me [...]
Spanish GP

The Kovalainen crash might have been one of the most horrifying ones I’ve seen in recent years. I seriously thought he’d died…or at least sustained very serious injuries. I was truly scared. Thank goodness he’s alright.
Anyway, that aside, there’s nothing more fulfilling in life than seeing two red cars coming in 1-2 in a grand [...]
New Song Completed
Saturday, 26 April, 2008
Ooh, this is exciting.
This week I worked really hard on a new piano song, and I finally completed it yesterday.
Took me about four days in all.
The song is called “Once Again”, and I’m gonna ask Betty to sing it for me at the next Songcraft session.
Basically this song was borne out of the piano intro. [...]
My Humble Discography
Thursday, 24 April, 2008
Y’know, I only seriously starting writing songs after starting the Songcraft Songwriting Circle, so if not for that, I probably would not have written any songs in the last one year.
No kidding.
So in many ways I’m really thankful for the Songcraft Songwriting Circle.
Carrie mentioned that Songcraft not only encourages you to start writing songs, it really [...]
Going With The “Feel”
Tuesday, 22 April, 2008
Sometimes songwriting is about going with the “feel”.
You can’t really teach someone how to write a complete song. You can teach the principles to songwriting, such as tonality, chord progressions, harmony, lyrical accents and metres, etc…but you can’t exactly teach someone how to write a complete song.
There is no formula to songwriting.
You can’t say “first you [...]
The Wheels Are Turning
Monday, 21 April, 2008
I feel a new song coming up, and am currently chasing the proverbial muse at the piano.
I like what I hear so far.
How exciting!
This feeling never gets old.
Go Spurs!
Monday, 21 April, 2008
This is why my beloved Spurs are going to be champs again this year.
Tim Duncan making a clutch three to save the game with time running out…the only three point field goal he’s made the entire season!
Michael Finley making two huge threes late in the game. Ginobili making a clutch layup [...]
Songcraft’s 1st Anniversary - Perfect!
Monday, 21 April, 2008
Somewhere in an idyllic and beautiful little spot in Singapore last Friday night, a group of songwriting friends gathered for one of the most magical nights of music-sharing ever.
It was certainly one of the most magical nights I’d ever experienced.
(Photos can’t do justice to the atmosphere we had that night. You simply had to be [...]
