On The Very Night

On The Very Night
On the very night the Saviour was betrayed
He took the bread
And when He’d given thanks, broke it
On the very night the Saviour was betrayed
He said “Take and eat,
For this is my body giv’n for you”
Do this in remembrance of me,
Do this in remembrance of me,
Do this in remembrance [...]

This Is Getting Crazy…
Saturday, 29 March, 2008

The recent spate of world record-breaking feats in Men’s Swimming has been nothing short of extraordinary.
Two of the most hallowed world records in Men’s Swimming - the 100m Freestyle and 50m Freestyle have been falling faster than a Jenga tower in a toddler’s playroom the last few weeks.
You normally only expect these kinds of WRs [...]

“Nothing Lasts Forever” by Maroon 5
Saturday, 29 March, 2008

This is an AWESOME song that is starting to grow on me, from their latest album.
Maroon 5 played it at the concert earlier this week and it totally rocked.
It’s the ultimate “it-hurts-us-both-but-we-have-no-choice-but-to-part” kind of song.
Great stuff.
Maroon 5 writes great songs.

Maroon 5 - Live In Concert!
Tuesday, 25 March, 2008

The Maroon 5 concert was everything everyone hoped for it to be.
Great songs, great performance, great sound, great set-list, great rapport, great everything.
The concert duration was slightly short, but apart from that everything else was just spot on.
I wished they’d played “Must Get Out” though.

Thanksgiving For A Very Special Weekend
Monday, 24 March, 2008

Photo (“SMILE pleeeze!”) by McGun
This was a rather special weekend for me, and for that I really want to thank the Lord.
There were many things that went on which I am highly thankful for, but I’ll only talk about a few of them for this post.
It was the Good Friday and Easter Sunday weekend, [...]

One thing I really love about the sharing of original songs in the Songcraft Songwriting Circle is the fact that it is one of most “democratic” of experiences.
There’s something about songwriting that is so democratic. Let me explain…
I’ve always felt that songwriting [...]

Sarah Jessica Parker = Unsexy?
Friday, 21 March, 2008

I read in today’s newspapers that Sarah Jessica Parker was recently voted by Maxim magazine as the “unsexiest woman alive”, together with Amy Winehouse, Sandra Oh, Madonna and Britney Spears.
What shocked me more was the excerpt from Maxim magazine, which I felt was extremely caustic:

“How the hell did this Barbaro-faced broad manage to [...]

Here’s A Simple Question…
Friday, 21 March, 2008

…which may not have a simple answer to it:
Where can an average S’porean Joe like myself go to buy legal & original MP3 songs?
Y’know, just the single MP3 track. Like Sean Kingston’s “Beautiful Girls”, for instance.
Hey, I’m willing to pay good money for legal MP3s which I can put into my iPod.
But sadly iTunes doesn’t [...]

Nice Moments From “The Leap Years”
Thursday, 20 March, 2008

Ok, let’s talk a little bit more about “The Leap Years”.
As I mentioned in my review below, there were a number of lines in the movie which I really liked, which I felt were memorable. (Let’s exclude all those famous quotes which they kept flashing on the Chinese calendars in between chapters…)
But sadly, in the end I [...]
