The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan

Man I’m so excited.

I recently popped by a CD shop and picked up the seminal Bob Dylan album “The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan”.

Can’t wait to listen through it and dissect it.

Just one folk singer, a simple acoustic guitar, an occasional harmonica solo, and a bagful of some of the greatest and most profound folk songs ever written.

Bob Dylan, together with acts like the Beatles and Simon & Garfunkel, is one of the main reasons that I’m such a huge fan of 60′s music.

Incidentally, I think the cover of “The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan” is one of the greatest album covers I’ve ever seen. See (here) for the full blown-up.

  1. It was released WAY back in 1963, but its still out of this world!

  2. Looking for something to disect?

Shamelessly I suggest my new novel, BLOOD ON THE TRACKS.

It’s a murder-mystery. But not just any rock superstar is knocking on heaven’s door. The murdered rock legend is none other than Bob Dorian, an enigmatic, obtuse, inscrutable, well, you get the picture…

Suspects? Tons of them. The only problem is they’re all characters in Bob’s songs.

You can get a copy on Amazon.com or go “behind the tracks” at http://www.bloodonthetracksnovel.com to learn more about the book.

  3. looking forward to your review of the album! i’ve always wanted to buy his ‘greatest hits’ album, more value for money, heh..
