An Original Duet (Full Recording)

As mentioned in my post yesterday, I recently collaborated with Betty to write a song called “But Not Before We Say Goodnight”. The background story on how this song was written can be found (here) and (here).

It’s like a love duet kind of song.

Well anyway, we recently managed to do a proper recording of this song, which is something we’ve been wanting to do ever since we presented it at the 4th Songcraft session.

For your listening pleasure:

(The full lyrics can be found here.)

Let me know what you think of the song!

If not for the Songcraft Songwriting Circle, this would never have materialised.

(Note: Many many thanks to Jerron for kindly organising the recording session and letting us all record using his wonderful equipment. We were extremely pleased with the results. Jerron, thanks once again!)

Allow me to add, “If not for Jeremy Yew who STARTED the Songcraft Songwriting Circle…”

The pride and sense of accomplishment I feel right now is beyond words.

  5. Oh btw, I’ve added you under my “Talented Others” links.
I think you’re (or rather your blog is) worthy enough; even though there’s other stuff in it ;p

  6. This song has lovely lyrics. It’s quite well done actually. Inspired me to do something on my own as well. (:

  7. It’s a very nice song.

Jeremy, I think you and Betty sang well. ;P

  8. Shir, glad you find it nice! You’re right about the “raw” part.

September, thanks for the kind applause!

B, maybe we need to tweak the harmonies a little bit more? I dunno, see what you think. And thanks for finally considering me worthy enough to make it to your “Talented Others” links, haha!

Buttonette, wow…thanks for the kind words. And yeah, I really hope it inspires you to try out something of your own as well!

Jerron, thanks man! Wouldn’t have been possible without your kind help with the recording.
