I was just musing about our National Day songs a few days back, especially Jimmy Ye’s new song “There’s No Place I’d Rather Be”, and before I knew it, my blog’s hit rate suddenly surges once again due to certain popular search terms.
(This reminds me of one of my earlier posts on the “Dim Sum Dollies”.)
So I did an experiment on Google once again, and whaddya know? As of this very moment, my blog happens to be the first blog on Google for the following search terms*:
Jimmy Ye
Jimmy Ye NDP song (1st result overall)
Jimmy Ye National Day song (1st result overall)
Jimmy Ye no place I’d rather be (1st result overall)
You get the drift.
Hmmm, maybe I’m on to something here?
Time to start cashing in!!! (Just kidding folks, relax!)
Or maybe I actually DO know the secret to getting good Google search results, haha!
*NB: I’m fully aware that these result rankings don’t stay that way forever. I know full well that over time, my rankings will eventually start to slide downwards. That’s the great thing about Google’s search results. It’s always very up-to-date. It balances both the recency of the post as well as the validity & quality of the content. (In other words, I’m trying to say my blog has got excellent content, haha!)
