Let’s Savour It While We Still Can

Many of the sporting greats have retired.

Schumacher’s retired, Thorpe’s retired, Jordan’s retired, Bird’s retired, Van Basten’s retired, Montana’s retired, Ali’s retired…but today, we still have a sporting great in our midst, in the prime of his life.

His name is Roger Federer.

Quite simply, the most amazing tennis player alive today.

And quite possibly, the greatest tennis player who ever lived.

(Even better than Sampras? Well…let the debates begin.)

His demolition of Andy Roddick at the semifinal of the Aussie Open (in straight sets) on Thursday further enhances the legend.

Roddick simply had no answer.

All he could do was tip his hat to the great champion.

And sometimes, that’s all you can do really…when you’re playing Roger Federer.

His tennis is simply exhilarating to watch.

Let’s all savour it while we still can.
